Trial collapses

The traial of a retired Sligo teacher for indecent assault on pupils has collapsed during the hearing of evidence at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.

Judge patrick McCartan discharged the jury following an application by the defence counsel Denis Vaughan Buckley. A new date will be set now for the trial.
