Young people urged to stay safe on foreign trips

The Dublin Rape Crisis Centre is urging young people to stay safe this summer if they are travelling abroad.

The centre says an increasing number of rapes and sexual assaults have taken place over the past number of years as young people celebrate exam results or go to music festivals and concerts in other countries.

It says people under the age of 20 are most at risk.

The centre is urging young people to stay with their friends, keep an eye on their drinks and keep their mobile phone charged when abroad.
