A woman desperately tried to phone for help while being savagely raped against her car, a trial was told yesterday.
A 23-year-old Czech man denies raping and sexually assaulting the 24-year-old woman in Co Galway last year.
The woman told the Central Criminal Court that she and the man kissed outside a pub.
She claimed she said goodbye but he put his arms around and said something “in a foreign language” to his mates who then left.
She said she then went down to leave but he followed her, pushed her up against the car and raped her.
Her handbag was on the top of the car and she reached in and called one of the last dialled numbers. She didn’t know who she called.
The trial continues.
