Happy New Year

I had intended to do a big retrospective look back on the last Year...reflect on what has happened and how profound the whole year has been...but I guess we all know here on this site how incredible it really has been and given how much has happened it would have taken me another year to sort through all the clippings and news to put it together! Instead I just want to wish everyone a New Year full of peace and healing, full of the recovery that I KNOW is possible and that One In Four is all about.

The kind of healing that starts tentatively, painfully and at times terrifyingly but that leads to real and profound well being. May we all continue to find ourselves through, beyond and despite what was done to us. May we each embrace the truth of who we are and learn to know that there is nothing more magnificent, more beautiful to be than who we truly are.

Once again I have only had to listen to what others on this site have to say to be inspired...once again Corry has posted the perfect greeting...

"May the light shine in your brokenness;
May peace be at your side in knowing others care
May you find compassion to embrace you in your suffering
and may you walk gently in healing;
I care......go gently....you are heroic
I won't give up on you
You are more than your brokenness
You are a light in the darkness
May we gather strength for the journey together."

Its been an incredible year, one full of the most profound changes that I haven't even really personally begun to comprehend. In the next few weeks I will be moving home, something I could never have imagined 12 months ago. I suspect the coming year will be equally extraordinary...

Heres to 2003: may the best of last year be the worst of next...Happy New Year.

Best of Luck with the One in Four offices and I am sure they will be buzzing with life very soon healing broken hearts and returning people to their former beauty and self worth..I very much look forward to that feeling.. Congrats on your very busy but productive year in 2002 and here is hoping next year will be as successful and happy for you...Take care...G

Theres a really beautifull message in the poem, It must be powerfull to know you've played an important part in a very important social change in Ireland, which must have taken courage, the public eye can be a difficult place to be - well done! and welcome home.
