Alone in wilderness

Alone in wilderness

Overcrowded in pain

Wailing, like overtures, echo

voices, screaming round my skull

Feels enlarged, bursting to near explosion

Memories to forget, Ah! how I regret

The door of escape, so near to hand

As I try to find

Silent voices to make me stay

Listening within, Silence prevails

Words remain unheard,

Hurled round within my being

But then a voice reassures,

Smiling faces confront me

Arms reach out,

To try to touch,  I want to grasp this new found chance

Of new found care,

I want to feel protected

I want to feel wanted

I want to feel needed

I want to feel loved

I want to feel free

I want to love
