Sexual Abuse of Inmates

Belgrade – The change of the directors of three social institutions in Belgrade, Nis and Petrovac na Mlava is planned, due to the uncovered of sexual abuse of inmates in the said institutions.

Slobodan Lalovic, Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Policy of Serbia, said at the press conference held on Wednesday, July 28, that the Ministry learned about the abuse cases a week ago and that it reacted as soon as possible.

The Director of the Special Institution for Children and Youth “Dr Nikola Sumenkovic” from Petrovac na Mlavi, Mirko Tosic, the Director of the Home for Senior and Handicapped Persons in Zemun, Branislav Miladinovic, and the Director of the Nis Centre for children and Youth “Dusko Radovic”, Slavoljub Nedic will be fired from their positions.
