Murderer in jail sex assaults

A gay serial killer trusted to become a jail Samaritan is alleged to have sexually attacked a suicidal inmate who asked the prison for help, it was claimed yesterday.

Former Naval Petty office Allan Grimson serving life for two murders is said to have pounced on a 21 year old seeking advice.  Grimson, trained by The Samaritans to help vulnerable inmates at Full Sutton jail near York – “groomed” his victim for weeks it was claimed.  A prison source said: “You have to ask why he was trusted with such an important role.  It’s like asking the Yorkshire Ripper to counsel prostitutes”.  The Prison Service said police were investigating the allegations.

Grimson, 45, who passed security and psychological tests to become a ‘listener’ was jailed in March 2001 for killing Navel rating Nicholas Wright, 18 and barman Sion Jenkins, 20.
