A thrill shivers through my heart
At the promise of your touch.
Your soft, gentle and warm caress,
I look forward to so much.

Into those eyes I've fallen often,
Only to feel a gentle landing.
The beauty that's buried deep within,
Could light dark worlds and rid their din.

Beneath the surface lies a child
Pure and innocent.
A child that sometimes re-appears
And cries, please end my lent.

A helping hand is always there,
And a shoulder if you need to cry.
Yet deep inside a hurt so housed,
This blow was dealt but, why?

Now with a brighter outlook ahead,
You'll get your just reward,
A time of happiness and love
Make it bearable to look forward.
